As Founder and CEO of Me Rae’s Hair Salon & Hair Loss Center, J. Marie has spent more than 32 years serving the Portland community, earning recognition as a master cutter, stylist, consultant, and mentor with a strong focus on curly and multi-textured hair. A Certified Holistic Trichologist Practitioner, she specializes in scalp health, holistic wellbeing, and advanced hair restoration. Her science-based approach connects gut health, nutrition, and stress to hair and scalp conditions, empowering clients with customized treatment plans that restore both hair and confidence.

Rooted in faith and guided by purpose, J. Marie’s journey includes training at world- renowned institutions such as Jingles of London, Sassoon Academy, and Pivot Point Cutting Schools. She has partnered with leading brands including Paul Mitchell, Revlon, and Goldwell where she has served as a platform artist and educator while organizing fashion shows, workshops, community events, and speaking engagements. An alumna of Warner Pacific College, she is recognized as a passionate advocate for hair loss awareness and a forward-thinking voice in the beauty industry. Her mission is to raise awareness of how hair loss and scalp challenges can be addressed holistically to support overall health and well-being.
